The lovely team at FalseEyelashes.co.uk recently sent me a bundle of lashes from Red Cherry to try, along with some latex-free DUO lash glue. I have a love/hate relationship with false eyelashes. I think they add a glamorous thickness to my fair, barely-there lash line and I feel naked on a night out without them, plus I love how they can hide a multitude of mistakes when it comes to dodgy eyeshadow application and wonky eyeliner, however, I admit, I’m pretty pants at applying them. I am getting better and, you can tell from the photos below, my technique is improving but if you’re triggered by slightly squint lash bands look away now!

As you’ve probably seen all over Instagram, Red Cherry are a cruelty-free American beauty brand which already has an established cult following. They currently have over 75 styles available, many of which are handmade using 100% human hair. When my PR package arrived, I fell in love with how fluffy and natural the lashes looked and I was incredibly surprised at that their prices start at just £3.99 a pack, however, it’s worth noting that these lashes do not come with lash glue. I was kindly sent four styles to try: Blair (£6.99), Savana (£5.99), #DW Demi Wispy (£3.99) and, one of FalseEyelashes.co.uk top sellers and my personal favourites, #WSP Wispy (£3.99).

If you’re looking for the wow factor this Christmas, then Savana and Blair are the styles for you. They have a thick, fluffy, multi-layered appearance to them which tapers off into a beautiful flare that adds instant glamour to any look. Unfortunately, as the band is a little thicker than the more lightweight, wispy lashes I’m used to wearing, I found them a little tricky to apply so these might not be the best option for any newbies like me. If you’re a pro and have the technique down, then I’m sure you’ll love the added thickness and drama.

Now, I can’t emphasise enough how much I love the styles #WSP Wispy and #DW Demi Wispy. These are completely my cup of tea. The lashes are soft, fine and criss-cross over one another to create a natural-looking fluttery appearance. I’m wearing #WSP Wispy in the photos above and as you can see they add volume and length but are more subtle and girly than the other styles. They were relatively easy to apply and very lightweight which I love. There’s nothing worse than your lashes weighing you down on a night out.

If you’re looking for the perfect pair of fluffy, wispy lashes this Christmas, whether it’s to wear to your Christmas party or for the perfect stocking-filler for any beauty-obsessed recipient, look no further then Red Cherry at FalseEyelashes.com.
