Leighton Denny Nail Polish | The Wanderlust Collection SS19

Leighton Denny Expert Nails have just released their new summer 2019 collection of iconic polishes called Wanderlust that are now available at Marks & Spencer. Inspired by travelling to exotic destinations and summer sun. The collection includes six shades which are all universally flattering, classic and glamorous such as ‘Private Beach’ (a beautiful coral peach), ‘On Cloud 9’ (a gentle soft pearl white), ‘Wanderlust’ (a luxurious sun-kissed gold) and ‘I’m a VIP’ (a dreamy pastel nude). I have the remaining two shades, ‘Flight Club’ and ‘Jet-setter’…

Leighton Denny High Performance Nail Polish | The Wanderlust Collection SS19

Leighton Denny is definitely up there as one of my favourite nail polish brands. Their formula is high-gloss, relatively chip-resistant (around 4 days wear I find) and the slim brush allows for quick and precise application. What’s not to love? The shade ‘Flight Club’ is exactly the type of shade I like to wear daily. I love rich purples, blues and greys, so this deep nautical navy was really calling my name. It’s very opaque and easy to apply. It’s not streaky in the slightest; you could even get away with applying only one coat! The only drawback is that I found it did stain my nails slightly. Although the blue tinge disappeared a few days later with copious amounts of nail polish remover, I do recommend popping down a base coat such as their Double Up 2-in-1 Base and Top Coat or their Easy Peel Base Coat as a precaution.

The shade Jet-setter is your classic statement red. It reminds me of the vibrant shade of red the VIrgin air hostesses used to wear. I always thought they were super glamorous and always dreamed of being as polished and stunning as they were as a little girl! Wow, that’s cringy but true nonetheless. There’s not much more I can say about the colour; it’s vibrant, glossy and a must-have in any nail polish collection.

The Leighton Denny 2019 Wanderlust collection is available here at Marks & Spencer. Each 12ml nail polish retails for £12.
