Even though we moved into our home just under a year ago, it still looks like the boxes haven’t been unpacked for all that long. This is probably down to the fact we put most of our time and effort transforming the girl’s bedroom. We didn’t want the move to seem scary or unsettle them so we made sure their rooms were beautifully decorated and full of their favourite toys so the transition was as exciting and fun as possible. Plus, it was also a lot of fun to decorate! Think cat cushions, bunting, bean bags, a teepee and lots of pink paint. It was safe to say, I was in my element putting it all together and seeing their little faces light up. The rest of the house, especially the living room, was definitely missing a few homely touches. It’s strange how a simple purchase, such as a rug, can instantly make your home feel cosier, especially when you are used to walking on cold laminate flooring every day. I love the contemporary geometric design and combination of colours. Considering how affordable it is, it doesn’t feel cheap and it’s currently my baby’s favourite place to fall asleep amongst her toys, so it’s definitely soft and cosy. As well as photos, Land of Rugs also had a short video available to give me a better understanding of the thickness and texture as well as a more accurate representation of the size, detail of the pattern and colour.
