Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick Collection with Swatches

Picking up a new product from Charlotte Tilbury is my favourite way to spoil myself, there’s just something about the dreamy packaging and indulgent formulas that make her products feel extra special. You can check out other products I’ve purchased here. Have you seen her new Glowgasm Face Palette? I mean, wow. I guess we all have that one brand that makes our heart flutter. I’m not sure I can really call my small stash a ‘collection’, especially since one of my favourites, ‘Pillow Talk’, is missing but these shades are beautiful nonetheless; having a two-year-old who loves playing with your makeup is the worst.

My very first CT product was Secret Salma. Secret Salma is part of the Hot Lips collection which was created in collaboration with 12 strong, successful and influential women including Kate Moss, Kim K.W., Helena Bonham-Carter and Victoria Beckham. Secret Salma is a beautiful deep rose-plum which is said to capture Salma’s ‘enchanting, smouldering and sexy colouring’. The lipstick features CT’s signature Matte Revolution formula enriched with papaya & orchid extract and volumising 3D pigments for “Cashmere-soft lips that look lit from within”.

Kim K.W. is the ultimate nude designed with Kim’s signature pout in mind. Love her or loathe her, there is no denying her makeup is flawless and those plump lips are iconic. I did hesitate to pick this up without having swatched it first, as I was worried I was too pale and it would give me the dreaded 90s concealer lips look. The touch of pink in this light beige lipstick actually makes it incredibly wearable even for those of us with pale complexions. The K.I.S.S.I.N.G formula reminds me of MAC’s Cremesheen, although in my opinion, it’s far superior.

Although the name makes me cringe, Sexy Sienna is my favourite shade. The Matte Revolution formula isn’t as unforgiving as other matte lipsticks. It doesn’t completely dry down which means it doesn’t settle into any dry patches and it doesn’t feel uncomfortable. One swipe gives your full coverage cover with no streakiness. It’s my perfect spring shade; a coral-toned pink.

I bought the other three for only £30 during Charlotte Tilbury’s Black Friday deal. Legendary Queen is a rich red wine shade with chocolate undertones. It’s not a colour I’d usually gravitate to as I find these types of shades a little ageing but it’s nice to have more variety in a collection otherwise dominated by ‘muted rose’ shades. It’s beautiful but can be a little patchy and also stains. The Matte Revolution Lipstick in The Queen was on my lips all of Christmas day. It’s a regal and vibrant red with hints of hot pink throughout. It instantly adds a little glamour to your look. It’s bold, beautiful and, like all lipsticks with the Matte Revolution formula, contains 3D pigments to create an illusion of wider, fuller lips and orchid extracts to help soften, protect and hydrate lips.

Finally, The Duchess is like someone took CT’s Pillow Talk and MAC Creme Cup and made a baby. The Duchess is an elegant tea-rose pink with a creamy, luminous finish. It’s super moisturising but does transfer quite a bit during the day, so I’ll probably run this lipstick down quite quickly, but it’s so worth it. The Duchess has become one of my favourite shades in my entire collection.
