Recently I added two new products to my skincare routine. I always wait for at least 4-weeks after first using a product before writing a detailed review, however, I just had to update you on this latest development because I’m so fricken excited to try them both. I made the decision to invest in a high-end anti-ageing product days after my 30th birthday as a little treat. My money always ends up getting spent on family day’s out, treats for the kids and food shopping, so I decided that I was going to invest a chunk of my birthday money in something a little bougie and luxurious for my face.
After a lot of deliberation, I decided to finally to purchase a tiny bottle of the cult Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil (£45/15ml). The hype surrounding this little blue bottle is insane and even though I was very close to picking up the Drunk Elephant A-Passioni Retinol Cream instead, I’m glad I finally have the chance to try this out. The retinol-rich oil makes some big claims, however, it does have the fan base who also testifies to this. I’m super lazy, so I’m all about skincare treatments that get to work while I sleep, especially if they are going to potentially help fight signs of ageing, reduce pore size and improve the appearance of damaged skin. My expectations are through the roof and I’ll be keeping you updated on my thoughts and experience with this pricey bottle of skincare royalty in the upcoming months.
A few days ago I was sent a new skincare gadget from Magnitone to try out. I’ve been wanting to try a silicone cleansing brush for years but they always seemed very overpriced. The Magnitone London XOXO SoftTouch Silicone Cleansing Brush currently retails for £39.99, which is an absolute bargain in comparison to other leading brands. Cleansing brushes use micro-vibrations to gently massage your favourite cleanser into your skin. This claims to help unclog pores of bacteria, impurities and excess oil to prevent breakouts. Basically, it gives you a deeper clean and helps your existing cleansing products to step up their game. It’s adorable, rechargeable, travel-friendly and features a number of different settings, bristles and textures to customise your cleanse.
I’m very intrigued to find out how introducing these two products into my current skincare routine will play out…
Have you used either of these products?
