REN Rosa Centifolia Cleanse & Reveal Hot Cloth Cleanser

There are so many ‘hot cloth’ cleansers on the market that it’s hard to keep track. The most well-known is probably the multi-award-winning Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish which strangely enough didn’t blow me away as much as I thought it would. I’ve also tried the Superdrug Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser which I highly recommend and is an absolute steal at under £5. If you’re not familiar with the process check out this post over at Cult Beauty – How To: Hot Cloth Cleanse. Basically, massage your cleanser all over your face and neck, as usual, rinse your muslin cloth in warm water and place it over your face to allow the steam to build and the cleanser penetrate your skin. Then lightly buff the cleanser away and finally rinse with cool water.

REN Clean Skincare is up there as one of my favourite skincare brands. Their no-nonsense products are simple but effective. There are no gimmicks and no harsh chemicals. Their radiance collection contains some amazing products that I use daily such as their Ready Steady Glow Daily AHA Tonic (which for the life of me have no idea why I haven’t got round to reviewing yet) and their newest launch, Glow Daily Vitamin C Gel Cream. I also slap on their Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask on a weekly basis too. I recently came to the end of another tube of the Super Facialist Rose Hydrate Calming Creamy Cleanser and decided to this as the perfect excuse to fall further down the REN rabbit hole.

The Rosa Centifolia collection contains a range of gentle cleansers which include foams, balms, gels and even a cleansing water. The Cleanse & Reveal Hot Cloth Cleanser is designed to effectively remove makeup whilst gently exfoliation and decongesting the skin. It’s creamy cocoa-butter infused formula helps skin feel soft and hydrated even after buffing it all away. It’s very gentle and after the two-phase process, my makeup is entirely gone. There’s no tightness afterwards, my skin is left feeling comfortable, clean and plump which is exactly what I look for in a cleanse. It has a subtle rose fragrance that isn’t too overpowering and once I’ve used my Ready Steady Glow Tonic afterwards my skin has a lovely healthy glow.
