REN Clean Skincare Ready Steady Glow Daily AHA Tonic

I still have a few traditional, creamy exfoliators in my collection (for example, the Antipodes Reincarnation Pure Facial Exfoliator is an absolute dream to use), however, tonics have become my new favourite way to smooth and brighten my complexion. They completely confused me at first (they still do to some extent), is it some kind of micellar water? Toner? Exfoliator? Essence? I had no idea, but everyone was raving about Pixi’s Glow Tonic so I figured that was the best place to start. Unfortunately, Glow Tonic didn’t really work for me (however, I am now a fan of their Retinol Tonic) so I pushed it to one side and moved on to the REN Ready Steady Glow Daily AHA Tonic instead. Ever since I’ve had a bottle by my bathroom sink – it’s that good.

The packaging is simple but quite clever: cover the top with your cotton wool pad and press down to soak it in the solution. No squeezing or tipping involved, the pump is a nice time-saving little touch. I use the tonic after cleansing and before moisturising. I simply sweep a saturated cotton wool pad over my face and neck twice a day. It’s basically a chemical exfoliator that gently buffs away dead skin cells without the need for any abrasive scrubs. Ready Steady Glow contains a combination of bio extracts including Willow Bark (BHA); to encourage cell renewal, Lactic Acid (AHA); to gently exfoliate and Azelaic Acid; to brighten the skin. This tonic helps to smoothe, tone and reduce pore size whilst evening out my skin tone to make it appear more healthy and youthful. It’s a step in my skincare routine that if I miss out I can viably see the difference. It could be my imagination, but since using this product I’ve also noticed a decrease in the number of breakouts I’ve been having too.

You can purchase Ready Steady Glow for £25/250ml from the official REN website here (AF Link) or pick up a bottle at Fragrance Direct. Their REN products are heavily discounted, however, at the time of writing this Ready Steady Glow is currently out of stock, however, I urge you to keep checking for a restock. The only visible difference in the packaging from the bottles I purchased from Fragrance Direct is that there is a sticker with an ingredient list in English covering a foreign one.

As with all REN products, Ready Steady Glow is cruelty-free and free from parabens, synthetic fragrances and colours.
