I’ve never been this exhausted in my entire life. Poppy, my now 5-week-old newborn, isn’t my first baby. My eldest, Penny, is now two so I’ve been through it all before. Packaging & Set-up
When I saw the delivery van arrive outside, I immediately started moving Penny’s toy box, the shoe rack and hall table out the way to make room for the mattress to fit through the door. I wasn’t expecting the box to be so small (measuring just 42cm x 42cm x 113cm). The mattress comes vacuum packed and couldn’t be easier to set-up. Just carefully unbox it on its side, place it on the frame of the bed and remove the outer plastic. The four iconic stripes should be located at the bottom and it will start to expand within minutes. It’s ready to sleep on after one hour but really performs at it’s best after a few days when it has fully ‘plumped’. One downfall of the whole process is the smell. It’s like a strong new car scent which I personally found a little eye-watering at first but thankfully this faded after a couple of days.
Our One Month Trial
Sleeping on the mattress felt very strange at first. Our old mattress was squeaky, bouncy and took a lot of shuffling about before you found your ideal sleeping position.
