Recently I was sent a lovely cake in the design ‘Baby Girl Moon’ to celebrate the arrival of Poppy.
The cake is available in four sizes: letterbox cake (5 inches | £14.99), small party cake (7 inches | £27.99), medium cake (9 inches | £37.99) and large cakes (12 inches | £57.99). There are over 100 designs to chose from and they’re all available in the traditional sponge, marble and rich chocolate chip. There are also dairy-free and gluten-free options available too so everyone can enjoy a slice. The sponge I tried was deliciously light and moreish. Penny and I polished off the cake in one sitting and then she used the cute tin it comes, which helps to seal in its freshness, to store all her little cars. It also comes with a small card to write your own message in. I was worried the cake might be stale or stodgy but this wasn’t the case at all. bakerdays uses the most advanced printing technology and premium quality cake ingredients to ensure the highest standard of product, however, the print on top can get a little blurry if left sitting for a long time so It’s best to eat it as soon as possible.
The cake was packaged very carefully and delivered perfectly intact. The fondant icing was definitely my favourite part. The fresh buttercream icing inside was really creamy and the sponge was moist and light. I love the idea of surprising someone with a personalised cake delivered to their door. Plus, as the cake and packaging are letterbox friendly, it will be sitting waiting for them as soon as they get home. Can you imagine having a stressful day at work and coming home to a delicious cake with a lovely message? It would definitely put a smile on my face for sure.
