Utmost Me Neuro Rest Natural Sleep Aid AD

Trying to get a decent nights sleep when you have a newborn is almost impossible, so when Utmost Me* got in touch to ask if I’d like to try their Neuro Rest Natural Sleep Supplements, unsurprisingly, I jumped at the opportunity. Poppy has been getting up pretty much every hour. The doctor suspects she has an allergy to cow’s milk so we’ve changed her formula and she’s been prescribed a cream to calm the sore-looking rash that has broken out all over her poor wee face and tummy. Hopefully, this will help her settle and we’ll soon get a few additional hours of uninterrupted sleep. Add to this all the unfinished chores still to be completed around the house, blog posts in my draft folder, deadlines and some upsetting news my family is currently dealing with, well, I’m finding it almost impossible to fall asleep in the first place.

I’ve introduced a few natural products into my bedtime routine to help me drift off including the Feather & Down Sweet Dreams Pillow Spray, a warming eyemask from Spacemasks, the Snooze Herbal Tea Blend from Teapig and the Utmost Me Neuro Rest Natural Sleep Aid Food Supplements. Neuro Rest was created by doctors, biochemists and expert nutritionists to help reduce tiredness and fatigue. The food supplement is 100% natural, gluten-free and vegan-friendly and since their launch, Utmost has sold 100,000 over bottles and have a 75% customer retention rate.

The food supplements contain ingredients that fall under different categories: the Sleep Quality Blend proven to reduce tiredness and fatigue whilst increasing the feel-good hormone serotonin, the Melo-Fruit Sleep Cycle Support Blend that provides natural sources of Melatonin which helps regulate sleep cycles and signals the body that it is time for sleep and the Mental Wellbeing Blend which contributes to normal psychological functions to help you switch off for a good night’s rest.

Two capsules typically contain:

  • Three types of Magnesium (112 mg) to help the mind relax
  • L-Tryptophan (100 mg) an essential amino acid that works in harmony with your body’s metabolism to naturally produce more 5-HTP
  • 5-HTP (90 mg) proven to increase the feel-good hormone serotonin which helps reduce anxiety and insomnia
  • Montmorency Cherries (72 mg) which is critical in helping to signal the body for sleep by regulating sleep and wake cycles
  • Grape Skin (25 mg) which also contains a natural source of melatonin
  • Watermelon (17 mg) which is a natural source of mood-boosting magnesium

A list of all other ingredients and dosages can be found here. I’ve taken the capsules and followed a strict routine, which also includes no electronic devices in bed, for just over 2 weeks now and I am slowly beginning to see an improvement in my ability to drift off. I feel more relaxed, less anxious and more able to switch off from outside stressors causing me to worry and over think as soon as my head hits the pillow. They don’t instantly knock you out (they don’t claim too) but I have found that it’s now easier for me to get back to sleep after interruptions such as 3 am feeds. These supplements are fantastic for new parents, however, if you’re breastfeeding, Utmost don’t recommend taking their products without the advice of a doctor. I also love that they don’t leave me feeling extra drowsy in the morning which was one of my concerns before taking them.

The Utmost Me Neuro Rest Natural Sleep Aid Food Supplements retail for £24 with money-saving bundles also available here which could help you save up to 33%.
