Let me start off by saying a huge thank you to everyone who has taken the time to congratulate us on social media. Our little girl is finally here! It’s definitely beginning to hit home that we now have a 2-year-old and a newborn under the same roof. To say things are chaotic is putting things mildly. Thankfully, Penny loves her sleep and usually gets a full 12 hours uninterrupted. The baby hasn’t even woken her up yet! Unfortunately, Poppy wakes us up… a lot. She loves to be held and especially skin-to-skin contact, so when she wakes up in her Moses basket she’s less than thrilled and demands a cuddle. Trying to put her down so we can get a few hours kip before her next feed is pretty intense. Remember the boardgame Buckaroo? Penny used to love to be swaddled or, as we call it, being turned into a ‘baby burrito’. Poppy not so much.
