Antipodes is definitely up there amongst Kiehl’s, Caudalie and REN as one of my all-time favourite skincare brands. The Manuka Honey Aura Mask, Reincarnation Exfoliator and Vanilla Pod Day Cream (review coming shortly) are just three examples of amazing Antipodes products that no bathroom or dressing table should be without. I always find their products to smell divine whilst feeling very natural and being incredibly effective, yet gentle. I have been using the Antipodes Manuka Honey Eye Cream for over two months now and it’s been a wonderful addition to my skincare routine.
Applying eye cream is a step I regularly skip, however, as I’m turning 30 next year, I felt it was time to finally invest in a tiny pot and take this part of my routine more seriously. The Manuka Honey Eye Cream doesn’t make any bold anti-ageing claims but it does promise to hydrate and freshen under-eye tissue and I feel it delivers on this promise. The thick cream is very rich but absorbs quickly and is infused with Persian Silk Flowers, Vivanza Grape Seed and Kiwi which impart anti-inflammatory benefits as well as brighten the skin’s appearance.
I have noticed that my undereye area looks a lot fresher and plumper and feels softer since using the Manuka Honey Eye Cream. It’s very gentle but has really helped disguise my dark circles and keep the skin around my eyes hydrated and supple. I have a bad tendency to squint my eyes during summer rather than pop on a pair of sunglasses and this cream makes them feel and look less tired and strained. The cream has quite a strong scent (a mixture of honey and tea leaves) but it doesn’t linger on the skin. It feels so refreshing and cooling popping it on in the morning before I start my day. It really helps me to wake up and has become such a quick and easy addition to my skincare routine that has really given my overall complexion a much-needed boost.
Antipodes Manuka Honey Skin Brightening Eye Cream retails for £36/30ml and is available at Beauty Bay, Feel Unique and Look Fantastic.
