I don’t know about you, but shopping for dads, grandads, boyfriends, brothers… literally, any male in my family always proves to be a difficult challenge. You’re either met with the socks vs. smellies debacle or, when you outright ask them, you’re greeted with the dreaded “You don’t need to get me anything” response. There’s one thing that most of us never turn our noses up at, and that’s chocolate, but how do you surprise them and show you care without just stuffing a box of After Eights into a gift bag? I was very kindly sent this 7 inch Father’s Day Chocolate Pizza (£11.50) which I let Penny give to her daddy as an early pressie and we all took turns munching on (for review purposes only of course!).
The Belgian milk chocolate base is decorated with milk chocolate curls, red, blue and purple rainbow drop buttons, and milk and white chocolate rice balls. It’s also finished with a milk chocolate plaque with the message ‘Happy Father’s Day’. It has a shelf life of approximately 9 months and all the ingredients are listed on the back.
It’s probably no surprise that the ‘pizza’ tastes delicious, I mean, seriously, whats not to like? I love how unique and out the box the whole concept is and I think £11.50 for such high-quality chocolate and careful presentation is well worth it! There are over 20 different kinds of pizzas available including Honeycomb and Marshmallow, Jelly Bean Jumble, Strawberry Sensation and even Chilli! There is also the option to personalise them too. The Gourmet Chocolate Pizza Company also sell individually wrapped pizza slices, bags of chocolate drizzled gourmet popcorn, chocolate coffee beans and hot chocolate sticks, all of which can be found here.
