Urban Decay is a brand that will always feature heavily on The Beautiful Bluebird as I wear their products almost every day. If I haven’t dipped into an eyeshadow palette from their iconic Naked collection, you can bet that my makeup has been sealed to perfection with my trusty All Nighter Setting Spray. When Urban Decay releases a new product, I feel safe knowing that my money is going into the right hands.
It was a dream come true when Urban Decay sent me a PR package full of some of my favourite products. I am so honoured to work with them, you really have no idea. Inside the metallic purple packaging was a brand new bottle of my beloved All Nighter Setting Spray but I was excited to see a few improvements have been made. I really adore the new updated packaging, it’s so much chicer than the original white bottle and purple cap. This lilac version still protects and seals in your makeup for up to 16 hours, but also helps protect it against oxidation due to pollution. All Nighter is my favourite setting spray because it really does act as a protective barrier against the elements. It prevents fading, creasing and my foundation from breaking down around my nose and chin. The fine mist on the spray ensures the product is distributed evenly without drenching your face in product and creating that sticky, tight feeling I’ve come to dread. I’ve personally never tried a setting spray that comes close to All Nighter.
There’s not much I can tell you about the Naked3 Eyeshadow Palette that you haven’t already heard. When it comes to any palette in the Naked family – the hype is completely justified. Naked3 is simply rose-hued perfection that completely stands the test of time. It contains a range of stunning finishes and features Urban Decay’s signature Pigment Infusion System for rich, velvety blendable colour that lasts. The formula is superior to 99% of the eyeshadow palettes I currently own and that’s why, to this day, it’s still a bestseller.
Let’s start with the packaging; the Urban Decay Troublemaker Mascara has some seriously purply mermaid vibes and I love it. What I love about this mascara is that you can layer it up for thicker, more dramatic lashes without any clumps which is incredibly unusual. The first coat gives me slightly more volume but that second coat is where the magic happens. The wand grabs onto my lashes and in a couple of wiggles coats my lashes from root to tip perfectly, adding both volume and length. I do find that application can be a bit messy due to the size of the wand. That’s not really a deal breaker for me as this can be easily fixed and eyeshadow hides a multitude of sins! Although it’s not waterproof, it doesn’t flake and holds it’s volume and curl all day long. Troublemaker also comes in a handbag-friendly travel-sized tube (£9 | 3g). The lipsticks are available in six different finishes; metallized, cream, sheer, sheer shimmers, comfort matte and mega mattes which all feature Urban Decay’s patented ‘Pigment Infusion System’ which gives insane colour payoff. The shade Uptight is a stunning full-coverage, highly pigmented comfort matte. It melts on to your lips and even though there is a little transfer it’s surprisingly longlasting.
