Unfortunately, I am working tomorrow and was invited to a wedding on Saturday so we had to squeeze all our Easter celebrations into one day. We had so much fun running around the garden finding Easter eggs today. We stuffed our faces with the first ever roast I’ve cooked and spent the afternoon relaxing in the garden. I made honey-glazed parsnips, Yorkshire puddings, roasted carrots, shallots and potatoes. It was pretty immense if I do say so myself! This is the first Easter Penny has been up and walking and it was so funny to watch her frantically search for Easter eggs. She’s turning into such an adorable little person.
It’s been ages since we’ve had an opportunity to sit in our garden and enjoy the sun (it’s forecast to snow tomorrow). Penny’s favourite outside toy is her slide and she went up and down it a few hundred times before it was time to scoff some chocolate and go for a nap. We also broke out the bubble wand which she thought was hilarious too.
I might be working this Easter Monday but you can be sure I’ll be whipping up a batch of these delicious Creme Egg Brownies as soon I get home.
