Stila was once a makeup brand I associated with those sticky lip glosses that came in a clear wind-up pen applicator that I’d often come across during a good old TK Maxx rummage. Now? I think of their dreamy collection of Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadows. One of the most hyped products of 2017. Another of Stila’s most talked about products is their Stay All Day Liquid Lipsticks. My sensitive lips tend not to get on with matte formulas but curiosity got the better of me. As soon as the Warm & Fuzzy Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick Set was reduced down to half price in Stila’s boxing day sale I wasted no time in adding it to my online basket…
The ‘Warm & Fuzzy’ set includes three deluxe samples (1.5ml each) of two of their bestselling matte shades, Beso (true red) and Caramello (neutral nude), and Splendore Shimmer (warm coral with gold shimmer), a shade from Stila’s new Shimmer Liquid Lipstick collection that recently launched as part of their Spring 2018 collection. They promise to deliver long-lasting, full coverage, that stays in place for up to 6 hours.
The first shade I tried, Caramello, was definitely not for me. I’m really pale and it made me look a little ill. It gave me flashbacks of my dreaded teenager concealer lips. Nevertheless, I still appreciate how effortless the creamy formula is to apply. One coat and I’m good to go. All three shades feel a little powdery at first which took some time getting used to. The Stay All Day formula is enriched with lip nourishing Vitamin E and Avocado Oil so they aren’t overly drying or heavy. The colour doesn’t crack or flake and I can manage a good 4-5 hours wear without the need to reply.
Beso really is a beautiful colour. One swipe and you feel like a Hollywood starlet. It makes your lips look fuller and, considering it is so highly pigmented, isn’t streaky in the slightest. It such an easy way to inject a bit of glamour into your life. Even though Splendore Shimmer is packed with (you’ve guessed it) shimmer, it’s the easiest shade to wear out of the three. I love the subtle glow it gives as the light hits it. It’s also worth noting that they are quite heavily scented. It reminds me of my Jouer Crème Liquid Lipstick and the Lush Candy Mountain Bubble Bar.

This little set is a brilliant introduction to the Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick formula and shade range. Unfortunately, it is now back to full price but in my opinion, it’s still worth it. There is also a set called ‘Play It Cool’ available that features pink and berry tones which I am incredibly tempted to try next.
