My house is very small and, since Christmas, the mountain of toys in my living room has left it feeling even tinier. I do all my blogging chores curled up in a tiny ball on my sofa the moment my baby’s head hits her pillow. My absolute dream would be to move to a larger house (which we are currently saving for) and have a designated workspace to write, create and relax. There are so many distractions sitting on that sofa. I can see the pile of washing needing to be folded, I have a cat who likes to constantly sit on my keyboard and I feel guilty talking about makeup when the hoovering needs to be done or the dog needs to be walked. It’s also not the most inspiring or motivating circumstances in which to work. If I had a little area all my own I’m certain that I’d be more productive and focused. When BoConcept, who has a stunning furniture store in Glasgow, got in touch to ask whether I’d be interested in sharing their beautiful collection of contemporary furniture and designer accessories with my readers, I saw this as an opportunity to do a little online window shopping and design a gorgeous workspace that, hopefully, will become a reality very soon.
I think I’ve managed to fit every blogger cliche into the image above. Who doesn’t love a bit of rose gold and marble in their life? Let’s start with the most important item – the desk. The Cupertino Desk is simple, elegant and chic. Much to my husband disgust, I love white furniture. This design is very similar to my dressing table and I love how slim, clean and clutter-free it looks. I’d pair this with the Adelaide Office Chair (which can be customised with your choice of upholstery). For added storage space the Lugano Chest, which comes in matte white lacquer and oak veneer, is the perfect unit to store all your samples, paperwork, blog props and accessories. BoConcept also has a beautiful range of homeware accessories that actually double into beautiful and unique blog props such as these lovely white and blue vases (that give me serious Tati Westbrook vibes), marble table clock and velvet navy cushion. You can browse their entire range of accessories here.
If you’re looking for luxurious high-end furniture that is functional, customisable and minimalistic, BoConcept has got you covered. Their collection also includes designer sofas, dining tables, beds and bookcases. Visit their Glasgow showroom (257 Sauchiehall St.) for more inspiration and to browse their contemporary interior design and accessories range.
