Ofra X NikkieTutorials Everglow Highlighter | Review & Swatches

I’d been lusting over the Ofra X NikkieTutorials Everglow Highlighter ever since it’s release and, even though another highlighter is the last thing I’m actually needing, I decided to take advantage of Beauty Bay’s 30% off Black Friday promotion and treat myself. I adore NikkieTutorials. She is one of a small number of successful beauty influencers on YouTube to not let fame go to her head. She always seems really humble, a little goofy and surprisingly relatable considering that she has over 8 million subscribers. She gives the impression that she’s just a regular girl who loves makeup and just so happens to be amazing at applying it. I do wish she did a few more chatty GRWM style videos as she is a little more elusive than other YouTubers but I guess that actually adds to her charm. Sorry for the fangirling but she is the undisputed highlighter queen in my eyes.

Ofra X NikkieTutorials Everglow Highlighter | Review & Swatches

I actually wanted to pick up the Ofra ‘Glow Baby, Glow!’ Highlighter in the shade Glazed Donut but it was sold out. I have a sneaky suspicion that it’s actually just a full pan of the lightest shade in this trio as they look incredibly similar but don’t quote me on that. Everglow is a three-in-one highlighter that contains a frosty pearlescent white, a neutral champagne and a sun-kissed copper. You can use them individually or combine them to create your own custom shade. Like most highlighters, they also double as shimmering eyeshadows, which is what I will primarily be using the darkest shade for.

Ofra X NikkieTutorials Everglow Highlighter | Review & Swatches

This is the first ever Ofra product I’ve purchased and, to be completely honest, I was expecting more in terms of the actual packaging. Everglow retails for £25/10g ($35) which definitely isn’t cheap, so I was surprised when it came in a basic plastic pan similar to a few Makeup Revolution products in my collection. It definitely doesn’t feel ‘high-end’ but I can forgive this as the magic is in the formula itself. The powders feel incredibly silky with no chalkiness or fallout. They are so rich in pigment that a little goes a long way. You barely need to coat your brush to achieve a blinding highlight. I definitely advise that you go in cautiously if you want a pretty pop of glow rather than an Instagram-worthy metallic highlight but you can easily achieve both with Everglow. They swatch and apply beautifully. The formula is incredibly smooth, with no chunky glitter or patchiness in sight. The highlighter sits on top of my makeup perfectly and doesn’t budge. The two lightest shades mixed together is perfect for my skin tone, the lightest is the most beautiful inner corner eye highlight EVER and the copper (I wish they were individually named) makes a breathtaking metallic eyeshadow. I just pop a little into the centre of my eye when creating a warm look with my ‘Yes, Please!’ ColourPop Palette to take it to the next level. If you are obsessed with highlighters Everglow will not disappoint you.
