Creating my Perfect Palette with ZPalette, ColourPop & Makeup Geek

Even though I love my Sweet Peach, Shade & Light and In Bloom palettes, my very favourite and most used is the one I created myself thanks to Makeup Geek, ColourPop and ZPalette. What I love about my trusty ZPalette is that it allows me to mix and match my favourite shades, finishes and brands to create a fully customisable palette specifically for me – every girl’s dream, right? I’ll admit, you may not find the most adventurous colour scheme inside but I use every single shade and they’re all Roxie approved.

So why Makeup Geek and ColourPop? As much as I adore my MAC Satin Taupe, Cranberry and Sable, I just couldn’t continue to justify paying £10 per tiny pan. Single eyeshadows can be pricey but these two brands both produce MAC quality eyeshadows at a fraction of the price. Although their price can fluctuate, the ColourPop Pressed Eyeshadows currently retail for only $4 (with free international shipping over $50) while the standard Makeup Geek Singles retail for £4.95 and their stunning Foiled Eyeshadows are £7.95 (both available at Beauty Bay). If you live in the UK and still haven’t made a ColourPop order – do it now! I promise that you won’t be disappointed. I know that everyone is scared of surprise customs charges, however, I’ve been really lucky so far so finger crossed this continues.

And there you have it, my beautiful collection. I know, I should probably organise this palette a little better but I like to live life on the edge. My collection contains a lot of shimmer and warm-toned shades. My favourites shades are Grandslam, a highly pigmented rose gold with slight taupe undertones and a foiled finish, and Shimma Shimma, a metallic champagne which looks beautiful in the inner corner. The shades I’ve chosen are pretty tame but I get so much use out of them. I think I’m going to try and be a little more adventurous in my next ZPalette and mix things up with a few more vibrant pops of colour; I’m thinking emerald greens.

Do you own any Makeup Geek or ColourPop single pressed eyeshadows? I’d love to know your favourite shades.
