When it comes to subscription beauty boxes, I prefer to have the option of choosing which brands and products I’d like to try each month. Yes, this eliminates the element of surprise but it also eliminates any risk of disappointment. I’ve subscribed to my fair share of beauty boxes over the years as I love discovering new brands and having the opportunity to try high-end skincare and makeup at a fraction of the price before investing in full-sized products. However, because I’m such a beauty box connoisseur, I’ve noticed a few of my monthly treats becoming a little repetitive. The packaging, whether rose gold, unicorn or mermaid inspired, remained on-trend but the contents inside started to include the same brands, perfume samples and promo codes over and over again.
Love Me Beauty is different because they allow their subscribers to hand-pick deluxe samples from their shop, which is updated every 2nd of the month. Once you become a member you receive 60 credits each month and you decide how to spend them. Different samples have different values, for example, a Kat Von D Everlasting Lipstick (3ml) is worth 20 credits, a full-sized Nails Inc. nail polish is worth 25 and the Caudalie Divine Oil (15ml) is worth 15. Your samples also come beautifully packaged in an adorable canvas makeup bag.
So, what’s new to choose from Love Me Beauty this month? Personally, these are my favourite products that have ever landed in the LMB shop. I professed my love for Kat Von D in a recent post which you can find here. I adore KVD Beauty, it’s a makeup brand that has never disappointed me. Available to try this month (but be quick as these are sure to sell out fast) are the Studded Kiss Lipstick in Mercy or Cathedral (3ml), Lock-It Translucent Setting Powder and KVD’s two brand new fragrances, Saint and Sinner Eau de Parfum (4.5ml each).
Another brand I was excited to finally try was Buxom. Buxom is a brand I’ve heard mentioned countless times on my favourite US beauty influencers YouTube channels. I’m so excited to hear that they’ve finally launched in the UK at Debenhams. There are two new products currently available to try: the Buxom Lash Mascara (6ml) and Full-On Lip Polish in Dolly (1.5ml).
