Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat Blur Primer

I don’t know why I went slightly Autumnal with my photos today but to me, luxury means soft furnishings, foiled gold eyeshadows and YSl makeup. I have to admit, the packaging was half the reason I purchased this beauty. It feels heavy and expensive. Purchasing high-end makeup and skincare is my guilty pleasure and whenever I want to splurge I always head to the Yves Saint Laurent beauty counter.

Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat Blur Primer

The Touche Éclat Blur Primer does something that’s hard to achieve: it blurs imperfections but illuminates the skin at the same time. It’s also enriched with nourishing oils (corn oil, apricot kernel oil, passiflora oil, and rice bran oil) so it leaves you skin feeling incredibly soft. It claims not to leave any greasy residue but I find that only a small amount of the transparent gel is needed otherwise it can feel a little oily on my combination skin.

It blurs pores, not as well as Porefessional but well enough, however, it does add a beautiful, healthy glow to my skin thanks to its subtle golden shimmer. It evens out the texture of my skin and makes my foundation apply flawlessly. It adds a healthy radiance to my complexion which no other primer ever has. Sometimes I even wear it alone to give my skin an instant pick-me-up. I was also given a sample of the Fusion Ink Foundation with this purchase and I really wish I hadn’t because it seems to blend flawlessly and the shade was a perfect match. Although, as amazing as this product is I’m still getting over spending £29.50 for only 30mls, so it’ll be a while until I treat myself to another high-end product.

I couldn’t resist finishing this post by mentioning these two stunning eye products I’ve been loving recently. I’ve been wearing the Lottie London Shadow Swatch Palette in The Rusts (here) and the shade Grandslam from Makeup Geek’s foiled collection all week long.
