If you follow me on Twitter you will already know that just a few days ago the Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette arrived at my door completely by surprise. This might be the most excited I have EVER been about a PR package. Urban Decay have been my favourite beauty brand for years and the fact that they have chosen to work with me blows my mind. I am so incredibly humbled and thankful for all the opportunities my blog has given me over the years but to work with Urban Decay is an absolute dream come true.
I’ve only had a few days to play around with this palette, but how could I not mention it today of all days?! Some of you were lucky enough to grab it during their pre-sale but today is the official UK launch date. Now, I’m going to be completely honest, I wasn’t planning on buying this palette. Why? As much as I adore the burnt orange/red trend that has taken over YouTube (NikkieTutorials = Queen) I just didn’t have the confidence to try it myself. Since this palette landed at my door you can bet that my lids have been rocking that smokey sunset vibe at every opportunity – and I am loving it!
As I mentioned, I’ve only been using Naked Heat for a couple of days so there’s no way I could claim to write a full in-depth review, but what I can do is show you the swatches in all their beautiful glory. Each one swatched beautifully, honestly it was like makeup porn covering my arms in these shades. They have the same high pigment, buttery texture as my beloved Naked Smoky palette but the metallics – wow – they have really surpassed themselves…
This palette contains 12 shades, a full sized mirror and a dual-ended brush. The brush is also no joke. This isn’t your average throw-away sponge applicator that most palettes come with. One side is a standard blending brush with luxuriously soft bristles and the other side is a detailed crease brush. Both sides pick up product easily and blend out the eyeshadows perfectly.
Will you be adding Urban Decay Naked Heat to your collection?
