My skin has been breaking out a lot recently and instead of finally investing in a jar of GlamGlow I decided to try a more affordable option. I came across this new beautifully packaged collection of masks from Soap & Glory in Boots and picked up the What A Peeling Purifying De-Clog Mask for only £4. It claims to ‘de-clog’ the skin and lift out any ‘gunk and junk’ including blackheads. It contains a number of wonderful ingredients including oil absorbing kaolin & clay powders, white willow bark, vitamin C & E, oolong tea, lentil seed, sage, camomile and ginger extracts. The packet contains two applications and a small plastic scoop for applying the product. It’s been a while since I’ve used a peel-off mask and I stupidly forgot the golden rule – avoid your hairline! Ouch.
The neon pink goo applies surprisingly easily with the spatula and takes at least 20 minutes to dry down. It peels off pretty pain-free but it can leave a bit of residue if applied too thickly which can be tricky to remove. My skin felt very clean afterwards and kind of tight, but my trusty Kiehl’s moisturiser fixed this in minutes. This mask is the perfect quick fix for when your skin is feeling greasy and congested, however, it didn’t lift any ‘gunk’ out of my nose like my trusty Biore pore strips.
The new collection also includes The Fab Pore Pore-Refining Sheet Mask, Super Plump Miracle Moisture Sheet Mask and the Super-Hydrating Under-Eye Brightening Hydrogel Patches. To find out more about these treatments visit SoapandGlory.com.
