Love Me Beauty is a monthly makeup & skincare subscription service which allows you to pick what brands and goodies you’d like to receive. Once you become a member you receive 60 credits which you then use to hand-pick products from their monthly edit. The June #HelloSummer edit features some amazing brands including Caudalie, Kat Von D, Nuxe, Perricone MD and Laura Mercier. Your samples also come beautifully packaged in an adorable makeup bag and this month’s design is possibly my favourite yet!
Love Me Beauty very kindly sent me a few products from this month’s picking list to try out and I was surprised at how huge the samples were. Beauty boxes have a tendency to include tiny sized lotions and potions that don’t really give you a feel for the product, but I was seriously impressed how ‘deluxe’ these miniatures are, the body oil alone will last me absolutely ages. Plus, it comes in a glass bottle so it actually looks and feels luxurious.
Caudalie is one of my favourite skincare brands so I was delighted to have the opportunity to try out a few more of their bestsellers. Available on this month’s edit is the Vinoperfect Concentrated Brightening Essence (50ml), Nourishing Body Lotion (50ml), Divine Oil (15ml) and Vinoperfect Radiance Serum (10ml). My absolute favourite products on the Hello Summer picking list are undoubtedly the Laura Mercier Lip Glace in Pink Pop (2.8g) and the Perricone MD Face Moisturiser Tint (30ml).
I’ve never tried any of Laura Mercier’s lip products but I am in love with Pink Pop, it’s such a beautiful shade. That’s the other thing about LMB, so far I’ve yet to receive any garish colours, they’ve all been pretty, easy-to-wear, popular shades which I really appreciate. Also, weird fact but this lip gloss actually smells scrumptious too. The Perricone MD Moisturiser comes in a heavy glass jar and a decent amount of product inside. Generous samples like this really help me to get to grips with the product and to decide whether I should invest in the full sized product. I was a little intimidated by this cream as it contains pigment and I am so pale but it actually gives the skin a lovely looking natural glow.
Each month there is a good balance of established and newer innovative brands to try. For example, this sample pack containing Yu-Be Moisturizing Body Lotion & Skin Cream is only 10 credits! This isn’t a brand I’m familiar with but it’s actually Japans no.1 selling vitamin-enriched skincare cream so I’m looking forward to trying it.
