As much as I love a full coverage foundation, I do like to have a lighter base on hand for days where I’m going for a more fuss-free natural look. I also love time-saving multipurpose products such as my Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse, Mama Mio Superstar in a Jar and Dr Paw Paw Original Balm, so as soon I saw this All-in-One BB Cream from Gosh I couldn’t resist picking it up.
Gosh is a cruelty-free makeup brand available in Superdrug. This BB Cream is available in only five shades, however, Gosh claims that this is enough to cover all skin tones as it’s formulated with mineral pigments that adapt and blend into your natural skin tone. What’s unique about this BB Cream is that claims to be a foundation, primer and moisturiser all in one.
Sand is the lightest shade in the collection and blends flawlessly into my pale skin. The coverage is very light so I don’t really see this product as a foundation at all, more like a tinted moisturiser, however, it does even out my skin tone, minimize my pores and help control shine. It leaves my skin soft and smooth and also contains SPF 15. The only downside with this product is the coverage, even for a BB cream, it’s so sheer that I find myself having to layer it up considerably if I want to wear it alone. It does works effectively as a primer as it creates the perfect even base to build upon.
I do like this product although I have to admit, it’s a little on the gimmicky side. It’s a hydrating BB cream that gives a natural looking glow to the skin that evens out any redness and blurs visible pores. It’s far too sheer to be a foundation, but I do agree it would make an effective primer, it reminds me of a lighter version of the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+ Unifiant without the skincare benefits.
The Gosh All-In-One BB Cream retails for £9.99/30ml is available here.
