The Body Shop | Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter

Ever since I finished my beloved Neal’s Yard Remedies Wild Rose Balm (£38/50ml) I’ve been searching for a more affordable alternative. I first saw the Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter featured on either Estee or Zoella’s channel over a year ago but for some reason, I put it to the back of my mind. I really like the packaging of this balm as the wide flat tin is so easy to get the product out of without having to dig into the surface and lodging it underneath your nails. It has a natural, clean scent that is slightly floral but very delicate and pretty. This tin contains 90ml/76g and retails for £10.

The cleansing butter (it’s really a balm but I guess sticking ‘butter’ on the side of the tin makes it sound more luxurious) is suitable for sensitive skin and contains extracts of camomile (Chamomile?) which is said to be an anti-irritant that soothes the skin.

What I love about this butter is that it gently melts away your makeup and can be removed using either a damp muslin cloth or washing away with warm water. I often find that balms and butters can become very waxy and cling to the skin’s surface when trying to remove them, but this product is incredibly easy to remove and doesn’t leave any residue behind. Only a very tiny amount is needed to be effective, this tin will last absolutely ages, however, once I do reach the bottom I definitely intend to repurchase it.

It does a fabulous job of removing my makeup and also of cleansing my brushes. My skin feels very soft and immaculately clean after every use and the formula is non-drying, so it’s ideal for all skin types. This is a very simple but lovely and effective cleanser that does exactly what it says on the tin.

The Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter from The Body Shop retails for £10 and is available here.
