December is the month subscription beauty boxes really up their game. Companies such as You Beauty, Glossybox and Birchbox tend to pull out the big brands and iconic products for their end of year Christmas box in the hopes of boosting their subscriptions packages and creating the ultimate ‘party’ box. This month You Beauty nailed it and not only did I scurry back to reactivate my subscription, I upgraded it from the ‘Bronze’ package to their ‘Gold’.
You Beauty offer a similar service to the Latest in Beauty Build Your Own Box price plans. Each month a new pick list is available from the 1st, those with a Bronze subscription can pick 2 products for £6.95, those with Silver can choose 3 for £8.95 and Gold member can choose 4 for £10.95. All three price plans come with free delivery and extra treats, with only the Gold members receiving VIP offers. I picked four full sized products: the Daniel Sandler Eyeliner (£9.25), Nails Inc nail polish (£14), Foreo cleanser (£30) and The Vintage Cosmetic Company brush (£16). This month my box retailed for over £69! My favourite product was the Daniel Sandler eyeliner as I’ve been wanting to try one of his products for months now. The eyeliner is highly pigmented, incredibly creamy and easy to apply, it basically melts onto the eye but is incredibly long wearing.
As much as I loved this month’s brands, I wasn’t overly excited about the extra treats. Each box included an exclusive 15% off gift card to use at Feelunique.com and a 1ml Narciso Rodrigues Eau de Parfum. Gold members also received a 75ml tube of Hand Butter from Mandara Spa.
