Latest in Beauty | New Collaborations, New Subscriptions & New Look

Something very exciting has been happening over at Latest in Beauty. Their website has had a chic new makeover but, more excitingly, so has their personalised build-your-own box service. LIB have always given their customers the opportunity to create their very own custom beauty box by selecting their favourite products from a pick list full of iconic skincare and makeup brands such as Benefit, Revlon and Kiko Milano as well as offering one-off limited edition boxes, but now they are introducing monthly subscription plans into the mix.

Now, in my opinion, monthly subscription beauty boxes tend to be very hit or miss. You often find that the same brands keep cropping up, the quality differs from month to month and the value of the contents inside fluctuates. Nevertheless, they are a fun and convenient way for any beauty lover to try a range of innovative new brands and high-end products at a fraction of the cost. One way to avoid the inevitable disappointment of opening an underwhelming box is to customise your box.

Latest in Beauty offer a curated selection of the world’s best beauty treats (many of which are full-sized) with a new product going live every day from brands such as Kevyn Aucoin, Illamasqua, Nail Inc, L’Occitane and REN.

You can either treat yourself to a one-off box or subscribe and receive free P&P. My box was beautifully packaged in turquoise tissue paper and contained a cute ‘life is too short for bad makeup’ postcard. This month I choose three lovely eye products from MUA, Pixi and Benefit, and received a limited edition makeup bag plus a face mask.

What’s the most difficult thing about subscribing to Latest in Beauty? Picking your products each month! As much as I love my three products this month, I’m kicking myself for not picking up the full-sized High Definition Eye&Brow Palette in Foxy and Powder Blush in Cocktail. With new products popping up each day, I can definitely see myself upgrading to the ‘Beauty Enthusiast’ subscription next month.
