You have no idea how excited I was to open my Sassy Bloom* box this month. I’m obsessed with subscription boxes and as soon as I heard that there was one I could enjoy with Penelope I knew I just HAD to try it. Sassy Bloom is a monthly subscription box full of wonderful goodies for both baby and parents handpicked by first-time mums and industry experts. Each Sassy Bloom box has a retail value of £40-£80 and are personalised by age, stage of development and gender. There are monthly, 3, 6, 12 or 24 plans available, as well a one off box that can be purchased as a gift, plus all come with free shipping!
When our box arrived it was beautifully wrapped with a satin bow and tissue paper which we spent no time at all ripping open to get to the goodies inside. Our box contained a Munchkin Safety Duck, Lamaze Little Grip Rattle Mouse, Taggies Friends For Me Lion, Oball Linky Loop and Ball, Everdine £30 Voucher and Personalised Hodded Towel. The duck and towel are my two favourite products. The duck is not just an adorable bathtime toy, it has a safety indicator at the bottom to tell you if the water is too hot. The words ‘hot’ appears in white writing on the safety disk to help prevent burns.
The voucher and the towel are great extras to keep mums and dads happy as well as their little bundle. I love how you get personalised items, it really sets Sassy Bloom apart from other generic subscription boxes, because of this, a box or subscription really would make a perfect Christmas gift for babies and children up to 3 years as well as expectant and new parents. Previous boxes have included wooden, plush, musical and sensory toys as well as books, toiletries and safety gadgets.
Now let’s get to the good bit – the toys! Penny’s favourite so far is the adorable Lamaze Little Grip Rattle Mouse. It’s the perfect size for her tiny hands and the safe teething ring is great for soothing her poor gums. The rattle sound also keeps her engaged and entertained. Lamaze is a favourite toy brand in our household as Penny loves the feel of all the different textures and to stare at the bright garish colours most of their plush toys have. The Taggies Friends For Me Lion is great for attaching onto her pram or car seat so we can take the fun with us on our travels. The satin tags make the toy easy to grip and suck on. The fabric is super soft and I’ve noticed Penny gentle stroking it which she seems to enjoy.
The Oball Linky Loops are made from soft, flexible material that can be attached to carriers, changing bags and prams. Like the ball, they are perfect for little hands to grasp and use to when teething. Like all the toys in this box, they are visually stimulating and virtually indestructible.
Sassy Bloom boxes are available from £25.95 with free UK delivery and with each purchase you can gain reward points to claim on future boxes. Sassy Bloom is a huge favourite among celebrities such as Edith Boman and Katie Piper and has been featured in The Daily Mail, Hello Magazine, Metro, Pregnancy and Baby and many more. They are an exciting way to shop for baby and discover wonderful products and brands along the way.
