Latest in Beauty | Build Your Own Box

Glossybox, Birchbox, Pink Parcel, You Beauty Discovery, Cohorted, Look Fantastic… the sheer number and variety of beauty boxes available has never been more confusing. In my experience, monthly beauty subscription services tend to be very hit or miss, nevertheless, they are still an affordable way to experience a whole range of innovative brands, new releases and cult classic beauty products in one convenient little package delivered straight to your door. One way to avoid the inevitable disappointment of opening your box to find a number of underwhelming or unsuitable products is by using the Build Your Own Box service from Latest in Beauty

Latest in Beauty | Build Your Own Box

LIB gives you the opportunity to create your very own custom beauty box by choosing your favourite products from their selection of top brands, many of which are full sized! There are three box options available depending on your budget: Box 1 (3 products for £8.99), Box 2 (6 products at £12.99) and Box 3 (9 products for £16.99). I choose the 9 product option and filled my box with some gorgeous skincare and makeup goodies from brands such a Revlon, Kiko, L’Occitane and Nails Inc…

I was so excited to find three of my favourite EVER beauty products on their shortlist this month; L’Occitane’s Almond Delicious Hands, Bee Good’s Honey & Propolis Cream Cleanser (which also came with a mini muslin cloth) and a full sized bottle of Nails Inc’s Nailkale Superfood Base Coat worth £15! It was a difficult decision but I also added samples of the Lanolips 101 Ointment Multipurpose Balm (9g) and the Bee Good Plump & Firm Moisturiser (15ml) along with four full sized products: the KIKO Velvet Touch Creamy Stick Blush in 03 Coral Rose (worth £7.90), Rimmel’s 60 Second Nail Polish in Wild-er-ness (worth £2.99), Revlon’s Ultra HD Lipstick in Rose (worth £7.99) and the Bourjois Aqua Blush in CocoriCorail (worth £8.99).

Nine products sounds like a lot but their picking list was so impressive it took me ages to decide. Also available to choose from this month is a full-sized MUA palette, full-sized lip products from ModelCo, Rimmel and Burt’s Bees and samples from Eyeko, Caudalie, Ren, Korres, Nip + Fab and St Tropez. The variety of products, brands and shades available can differ depending on stock levels, so if nothing takes your fancy one week, the chances are, they’ll be a whole new selection to choose from the next.

I am seriously impressed with the quality and value of my box this month. The only downside I find with the BYOB service is that the variety of products and brands available can vary each time I log-in and stock levels can be very limited, however, I still think that the Build Your Own Box service is a great way to treat yourself or create the perfect bespoke gift for someone special.
