As much as I love a MAC lippy (Creme Cup will forever be found in my handbag until the dawn of time), Urban Decay’s Vice Collection is quickly becoming my new beauty obsession. With over 100 stunning shades, all beautifully packaged in a ‘luxed-up’ version of Urban Decay’s original shotgun shell lipstick case, UD’s largest ever lipstick launch includes both new shades and cult favourites. From dazzling metallic plums, intense reds, hot pinks, charcoal blacks, soft shimmering nudes and rich chocolaty browns, this collection has every shade you could ever dream of. There are also 50 perfectly matched 24/7 Glide-On lip Pencils available to prime, define and enhance your chosen Vice look.
The lipsticks are available in six different finishes; 17 metallized shades, 42 creams, 19 sheers, 5 sheer shimmers, 8 comfort mattes and 10 mega mattes which all feature Urban Decay’s patented ‘Pigment Infusion System’ which promises “insane colour payoff”.
After 5 minutes of completely covering my hands in swatches, I found myself drawn to Weirdo’s super-creamy formula and warm blush pink tones. The lipstick applies like a dream, instantly melting onto the lips and smothering them with colour. It’s buttery formula is very comfortable and moisturising as it’s blend of aloe vera, jojoba and avocado oil condition and soften the lips.
Stupidly, I didn’t notice that there is an exact colour match with the 24/7 lip pencils which is also conveniently called Weirdo. Instead, I picked up Native, a very similar but slightly more purple shade of blush pink that, but still, thankfully compliments Weirdo. The lip pencil is just as creamy and applies precisely without any dragging or pulling. The waterproof formula is extremely long lasting and holds a crisp, sharp line with no feathering or patchiness.
