Festival season is well and truly upon us, whilst I was ridiculously jealous to be stuck at home during T in the Park weekend, I’m very excited to get the opportunity to play around with all my new products from Natural Collection and the beautiful Thumbelina Lillie. Natural Collection have really been on point recently, what with their Summer #GetGlowing range (full review available here) and now with this cute and colourful festive-inspired collaboration with the award-winning UK blogger Megan Lillie.
I’m always excited to see bloggers get the recognition they deserve, especially genuinely lovely ones such as Megan. As I mentioned before, Natural Collection was a brand I drifted away from several years ago, however, 2016 seems to be the year of the drugstore beauty brand and this collaboration is another step in making Natural Collection more accessible and relevant to a younger audience.
Their range of festival makeup must-haves include concealers (perfect for covering emergency breakouts), waterproof mascaras (to protect you against unpredictable festival down pours), low maintenance tinted lip balms (to give you a quick pop of colour), shimmering eye shadows and nail polishes in a whole range of bright festival shades.
Natural Collection has over 24 shades of fragrance-free, dermatologically tested solo and duo eyeshadows ranging from eye-popping brights such as Mermaid, Snow Storm and Candyfloss to smokey shimmers and subtle nudes such as Willow and Fine Silver (pictured above).
Their WaterGuard mascara is a festival essential. Available in Black or Black/Brown, WaterGuard is both waterproof and smudge resistant. The wand is long and skinny which is perfect for coating even those wispy under eye lashes. Lashes look glossier, fuller and more defined all day long no matter how many drinks are thrown across the crowd!
Their range of Nail Colours also contains over 21 stunning shades such as hot pink Hibiscus (pictured above). Only two coats gave a highly pigmented, glossy finish which, when paired with a base and top coat, will last all weekend.
Let’s face it, festivals aren’t the most glamorous of events. Even though we wish we could effortlessly pull off flower crowns, sandals and maxi skirts all weekend like a celeb with a backstage pass at Coachella, UK festivals usually consist of having a daily of wash with the 10 packs of baby wipes you stuffed into your rucksack along with the 5 cans of dry shampoo and fifty thousand bottles of anti-bac gel. OK, I exaggerate, but let’s face it, you probably won’t want to take your favourite Naked palette or CT lippy along for the ride but you still want to look cute and girly, this is where Natural Collection’s fun, risk-free festival essentials have got you covered – they are all only £1.99 each!
