The Seventeen Skin Wow 3 Way Highlighter Glow & Prime (wow, that’s a mouthful) can be used in, unsurprisingly, three ways: to prime the skin, add to your foundation or apply onto the cheekbones to lift, lighten and wake up your skin for a luminous glow.
The packaging is simple and contains a built-in pump which limits waste and generally makes things a lot less messy. From a primer I look for a product that blurs my pores, makes everything smoother so I can easily apply my base and helps my makeup to last longer throughout the day, sadly, the Skin Wow Glow & Prime does none of this. It’s not all bad news however as it does make a fantastic highlighter. The pearlescent silvery/pink liquid gives a similar finish to Benefit’s High Beam.
The pearlescent liquid has both silver and pink tones that give a beautiful frosted, dewy glow to the skin. A little goes a long way as you can tell from the photo below so this 30ml bottle should last a long time. I’ve also added the highlighter to my foundation (Loreal’s True Match) and it definitely makes my complexion look a lot brighter, although it does make the formula extra runny and a lot more sheer than I personally prefer.
While I’m not convinced about it’s effectiveness as a primer, I do love the luminous glow the Seventeen Skin Wow 3 Way Glow & Prime gives me when dabbed and blended onto my cheekbones like a conventional highlighter. This shade is perfect for pale complexions but If you’re looking for a warmer more golden highlight the Seventeen Instant Glow Skin Wow Tan is a liquid bronzer which can be used to both contour and highlight all in one.
The Seventeen Skin Wow 3 Way Highlighter Glow & Prime is available at Boots.com and retails for £5.99/30ml.
