Spring is here and with it brings shades of pastels, floral scents and glowing skin. Here are just four of my favourite beauty products I’ll be using over the next couple of months to help me forget that the weather is really just as miserable as it was back in January…
Highlighter –The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer Luminizer (£17.50/8.5g)
A product that really needs no introduction, this iconic best-selling highlighter is really a must-have in any beauty collection. The golden shimmering powder gives a beautiful soft glow to the cheeks. It’s velvety soft texture blends easily, is richly pigmented and suits all skin tones.
Scent – Elie Saab Le Parfum Eau de Parfum (£38/30ml)
Florals for Spring, I know, groundbreaking; nevertheless I adore this perfume. It’s more ‘grown-up’ than scents I’m usually attracted to such as Vera Wang Princess. It’s less sweet and girly, and more seductive and radiant. The top notes are of orange blossom, the middle: jasmine absolute and patchouli and the base notes are cedar and honey rose.
Base – Garnier Original BB Cream in Light (£9.99/50ml)
I’m usually a matte foundation kind of girl but as the weather gets warmer I like to give my skin a bit of a breather and use a base product with less coverage (although I still carry a translucent powder around with me just in case I get too shiny). The Garnier BB cream gives a dewy glow to my skin whilst slightly blurring my pores and evening out my complexion. It’s lightweight, hydrating and contains SPF 15.
Lips – Tanya Burr Cosmetics Lipgloss in Cotton Cane (£5.99/7.5ml)
I’m not a huge fan of lip glosses but I find myself reaching more and more for them during Spring/Summer. I love pretty, almost-there-shades when the sun makes an appearance and this shade is the perfect subtle pink that is flattering with all skin tones.
The dewy, natural Spring time look these four products will give is, so far, wishful thinking on my part as it’s not a look I’ve yet to wear this year due to the gloomy dreary weather we’ve been having – but a girl can dream!
