Today I have a mini Lush haul from their Glasgow Buchanan Street store to share with you. Like most Lush stores, the staff were incredibly helpful and just a good laugh. I don’t know what kind of screening process they use during interviews but Lush staff are among the most genuinely friendly and down-to-earth sales people around, I’ve never had a disappointing sales experience at any of their stores.
So what did I pick up? It’s always a hard decision and I had to demonstrate some serious restraint as there were so many products I wanted to try, but I finally chose: the adorable Ladybird bubble bar from their limited-edition Mother’s Day collection, glittery Golden Egg bath bomb from their Easter selection, and the new Rose Jam Bubbleroon Bubble Bar, inspired by their best-selling festive shower gel.
First up the Rose Jam Bubbleroon (£3.75). Rose Jam is one of my favourite products from their limited edition Christmas collection so I jumped at the chance to try this. It smells exactly like the shower gel. It contains a layer of pink cocoa and shea butter sandwiched between two shimmering bubble bars filled with lemon, rose and geranium oil.
I tend to avoid glittery bath bombs like the plague but there’s so much hype surrounding this bath bomb I just had to try it. You can’t even pick this bad boy up without being covered in gold shimmer so I might wait until the weekend to try this product out; I really don’t want to have to go into to work looking like a disco ball. The Golden Egg (£3.95) is a bath bomb melt that contains, other than a ton of glitter, bergamot, sweet orange and olive oil – plus it smells of toffee! What’s not to love? I can’t wait to try this.
And finally the Ladybird Bubble Bar (£3.95), which I’m unsure I’ll ever be able to bring myself to crumble up, contains a blend of sweet geranium oil and invigorating peppermint oil. This little guys promises a mountain of bubbles and a relaxing floral bath that will “revive and uplift mind and body”.
So there you have it, my three lush buys which I doubt will last little over a week. Have you tried Ladybird, Golden Egg or any of the Bubbleroons yet? I’d love to know your thoughts. Oh, and sorry for posting probably the 3ooth Lush post you’ve read this week, but I just couldn’t resist sharing this lovely bunch of goodies with you.
