Let’s face it, every girl wants to be treated like a princess. I adore Princess by Vera Wang so much that I choose this fragrance to give to my three beautiful bridesmaids on my wedding day, to say thank you for all their hard work. I always have a bottle sitting on my dressing table, and wow, what a bottle it is…
The magical lilac liquid inside, the pretty heart shaped bottle, the bejeweled crown on top; it’s like this perfume came straight out of a fairytale. It’s the perfect combination of playful and magical, without coming across as cheap and gaudy.
The scent itself is light and feminine. The perfume primarily smells of vanilla which gives it a delicate, sweet and almost innocent appeal. It’s perfect for wearing every day as it’s surprisingly subtle considering it’s packaging, although it’s still memorable and noteworthy. It also contains top notes of water lily, apricot, apple and mandarin with undertones of pink guava, dark chocolate and wild tuberose. If you’re drawn to warm, seductive scents with spice, then I’ll be honest, this isn’t for you. However, this perfume has spawned a whole collection of scents including Rock Princess and Princess Night which contain more exotic notes of jasmine and musk if girly, powdery and playful just isn’t your style.
Vera Wang Princess is not only a beautiful addition to any dressing table but an enchanting, feminine fragrance that is sure to bring out the little girl in you. This has become my signature scent. I wear it most days along with my Japanese Cherry Blossom Eau De Toilette from The Body Shop and Elie Saab Eau de Parfum. When it comes to fragrances I say the sweeter the better and Vera Wang Princess is one of the sweetest around, perhaps making it the perfect present this Valentine’s Day.
