Balance Active Formula Vitamin C Pro-Radiance Serum (£5.99)*
It’s lightweight formula absorbs into skin quickly, leaving no greasy residue or dewy finish. When I first saw the small plastic bottle with it’s orange packaging, rubber top and pipet applicator, I was immediately reminded of Ole Henriksen’s Vitamin C Collagen Boosting Truth Serum (£47/30ml), and in some ways it makes for a convincing dupe. The serum is fragrance-free and contains active levels of Illumiscin and Stay-C 50 (two forms of stabilised Vitamin C) plus Zinc PCA and Oleuropein to help tackle age-spots, uneven skin tone and a dull complexion. The serum definitely gives skin a brighter, more radiant appearance. It’s perfect for days when I’m feeling sluggish, tired and when my skin needs an extra boost.
Balance Active Formula Hyaluronic Moisturiser (£6.99)*
The gel-cream formula is suitable for all skin types, dermatologically tested as you’d expect and also non-greasy. The ‘ultra hydration’ moisturiser is gentle enough to use morning and night and contains active levels of Algisium C2 and Hylasome EG10, a powerful type of hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid seems to be THE anti-aging ingredient of the moment right now. While I can’t say I have experienced the benefits of it’s highly documented anti-aging properties, I have noticed that it leaves my skin noticeably more ‘plump’ and brighter. This moisturiser is the perfect pick-me-up for skin that’s lost it’s bounce as it smoothes out uneven skin texture and also helps to improve the radiance of the skin.
