Wedding | Bride, Honeymooner and Wife

Good morning my little Bluebirds, I hope you are all having a lovely Summer so far. So much has happened this last couple of months I don’t know where to start. Blogging wise I bought my own domain name (goodbye blogspot.co.uk) and the Beautiful Bluebird now hopefully lives at thebeautifulbluebird.com. Unfortunately this change meant losing all my lovely comments which I was pretty distraught about. I’m pretty awful when it comes to DNS, CName, IPv6 hosts etc, so please bare with me while I iron out all the kinks! I am far from being remotely tech savvy.

I realise that I’ve posted a lot of beauty reviews recently and I thought it would be a nice change to take a short breather from them and update you on a few events that have taken place in my life recently. First of all, as many of you may already know, on July 14th I got married. It was a beautiful day, the sun actually made an appearance, the champagne flowed in copious amounts and everyone got up for a good old fashioned dance off at the end of the night. Yes, 500 Miles by The Proclaimers was played, kilts where worn, we had a piper, whisky was drank and haggis was even served. It was a very Scottish affair! I can’t wait to share with you all my photos in the next couple of weeks! I’ve still to actually sign anything as Mrs Watt, I really need to get practicing.

After the wedding Ross and I spent two blissful weeks in Florida and Antigua, hence all the scheduled posts and tweets over the past couple of weeks – sorry if you felt I bombarded you a little! In Florida we visited Universal Studios (and wore matching Marvel t-shirts because we are cool), Island of Adventures, Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios, but not Seaworld. I’m hoping to write a post about my reasons for this soon. Many of you who have watched the documentary Blackfish, which I highly recommend, may already have an idea why. We had dinner in the world’s largest Hard Rock Hotel, visited the Florida Mall, which I spent over an hour in drooling over the Anastasia Beverly Hills and Hourglass counters in Sephora, we had ice cream in Baskin Robbins, lunch at Denny’s, played beer pong, ate in The Leaky Cauldron and even went on the Hogwart’s Express. After a week of behaving like big kids in Orlando we then traveled to Antigua for some chill out time.

Antigua was paradise. I ate fresh papaya, mango and pineapple every morning, was seldom seen without a strawberry daiquiri in my hand and lazed next to the crystal blue water and read by the pool as the sun set (Zoella’s Girl Online and Stieg Larsson’s Girl with the Dragon Tattoo if you were wondering), while Ross enjoyed more strenuous activities such as jet skiing, beach volleyball and kayaking.

Some magical things have happened in the last couple of months and I can’t wait to see what happens next. Thank you to all my lovely wedding guests who help to make my day so special, my venue, Orocco Pier, whose staff went out of their way to make my day go smoothly and thank you to all my readers and followers for all your continued support, love and kind messages since I started The Beautiful Bluebird – I am so thankful to each and every one of you!
