Bell HYPO Allergenic BB Mouse & Powder Review

Recently I was given the opportunity to try two products from the Bell Cosmetics collection, now available at BeautyCrowd.com. If you haven’t already visited Beauty Crowd, I insist you check it out right now! It’s full of innovative brands you wouldn’t usually find on the high street. Beauty Crowd is the place to go to discover new treasures and join a whole community of beauty lovers just as passionate about skincare and makeup as you are! This online retailer showcases a huge range of unique, innovative and hand-picked brands such as Nicka K, Mesauda Milano and Yours Truly Organics.

Today I’ll be looking at the dermatologist approved, HYPO Allergenic BB Mouse and Powder from Bell cosmetics. For 30 years, Bell Cosmetics have been meeting the highest global standards for creating cosmetics. The Hypo-Allergenic range provides a solution for those with sensitive skin, whilst being affordable and effective. The skin-perfecting range is both vegan-friendly and cruelty-free and contains a range of products from eyeshadows, primer, brow modelling sticks and eyelash builder (which I will definitely be purchasing after my false lashes removed half my lash line the other day, but that’s another story!).

I can just tell the BB powder is going to be perfect for my honeymoon! In the hot Summer months I try to stay away from high coverage foundations to allow my skin to breathe, this lightweight powder is just what I have been looking for! The satin-like formula mattifies and conceals redness and other minor imperfections in seconds. It applies easily and smoothly with my Real Techniques powder brush with minimal fall-out. The hard plastic casing is durable enough to throw in my handbag to use at a moments notice, which is unusual for such an affordable product. Not only does this multi-purpose product help to keep my makeup in place throughout the day, it also banishes unsightly shine and helps to restore a fresh but natural look to my skin. The powder is available in two colours – No.1 (as shown below) and No. 2.

Next up, the HYPO Allergenic BB Mouse. It’s been a long time since I’ve used a mouse product, I’m not sure why as I love its lightweight formula. This product has a slightly higher coverage than I’d expect from a BB cream, it manages to cover my imperfections (mainly discolouration and slight scaring around my nose and chin) whilst still allowing my skin to breathe. It leaves my skin feeling soft and silky and blends into skin flawlessly with my beauty blender without leaving any smudges or ‘cakeness’ (is that a word?). It also helps to mattify my skin, giving my complexion a soft, fresh and flawless appearance.

As with the powder, the mouse is available in two shades No. 1 and No. 2. I was really impressed that No. 1 worked with my skin tone. Being so pale I often find it difficult to select products that don’t leave me with that slightly orange appearance, but the mouse blended perfectly as you can see in the photo below.

It’s safe to say that I’m really impressed with these two products. I can’t believe how affordable they are considering their effectiveness. The HYPO Allergenic collection is a must-have for those with sensitive, oily and combination skin. They are perfect for helping to tackle shine and imperfections this Summer whilst giving lightweight, long-lasting and even coverage.
