MAC lipsticks are quickly becoming my obsession. For years I rolled my eyes at those gullible enough to pay £15.50 for one lipstick, but recently I caved into the hype and haven’t looked back since. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll happily snap up a MUA or Makeup Revolution lippy for only £1, however if you’re looking for long-lasting, gorgeous shades that glide on like butter, no-one can compare to MAC. Here are my three favourite shades that are perfect for those with paler complexions like mine…
These three lipsticks basically have me covered for every look imaginable. Shy Girl is a beautiful, classic nude with a cremesheen finish. This is the first nude lipstick I’ve ever purchased and I love how sophisticated and understated it looks. It’s very creamy and nourishing on the lips and gives a glossy finish with a very subtle shimmer. Creme Cup is my perfect everyday lipstick – I take it with me everywhere! Also from the cremesheen collection, Creme Cup is a pretty pink shade that is extremely flattering and easy to wear. And finally, Vegas Volt (an amplified creme finish) is what I reach for when I’m looking for a pop of colour. This warm coral red shade is very long lasting, nourishing and slightly glossy on the lips – my perfect night out shade.
All three shade are scented with MAC’s signature vanilla fragrance and very highly pigmented as you can see from my swatches above. These three lipsticks are my all time favourite shades. although I wouldn’t mind also trying Ruby Woo Woo, Twig and Velvet Teddy, but they’re always sold out!
