Beauty | Springtime with Ciate London

I don’t know if you’ve noticed but apparently it’s Spring! You definitely wouldn’t realise it from looking out my bedroom window this morning but honestly is supposed to be sunny and everything soon… I hope! Despite the weather, I’m embracing everything pastel and pretty this season and opting for more cutesy colours from Ciate London and moving away from my Autumn OPI Cinnamon Sweet reds and plums.

All my Ciate mini paint pots came from last year’s Ciate Mani Manor Christmas Advent Calendar, which I bought in January for the bargain price of £14.50, and I’ve been a huge fan ever since. I love the long handle and brush combo, as it allows for precise application in just a few strokes. The colour itself is usually glossy and very pigmented, although obviously this depends on what shade you’re working with! Let’s look at three Springtime favourites of mine…

First up is Ferris Wheel, an adorable baby blue. I needed 3 coats of this shade (I only needed 2 for the others) to create a bolder nail as the colour is quite sheer and the first coat was a little streaky. My vivid Easter chick yellow is called Big Yellow Taxi. Highly pigmented, bold and incredibly long lasting, this shade is perfect if, like me, you’d like a little more sunshine in your life. And finally, Strawberry Milkshake (how cute are these names by the way?) a creamy, powder pink pastel to finish off this perfect Springtime collection.

Are you embracing the pastel trend or sticking to dark more intense colours?
