So it’s supposed to be Spring, but I guess nobody told the weather. It’s literally snowing as I write this, what I wouldn’t give for an hour of natural sunlight. That’s Scotland for you. Today I’ll be looking at The Body Shop’s Almond Hand and Nail Butter (100ml/£12), one of my all-time favourite Body Shop products and an absolute life saver during cold, drying days like today.
This intensive hydrating treatment restores moisture to chapped, dry hands from it’s very first use. It contains sweet almond oil, Community Fair Trade shea butter, soya oil and beeswax. The delicious sweet almond scent isn’t too over powering and it’s soft buttery texture melts into hands easily, leaving no greasy residue behind. Not only does the miracle worker care for you hands, but it also nourishes brittle nails helping to strengthen them and tackle dry cuticles. This butter is so effective it keeps even the driest of hands hydrated for up to 24 hours.
The butter is really rich so only a little is needed to get it’s full moisturising effects
– this little tub will last you a long time! Other product’s in The Body Shops almond collection include a lighter Almond Hand and Nail Cream (30ml/£5 or 100ml/£11) perfect for popping into your handbag when you’re on the go and an Almond Conditioning Hand Wash (250ml/£5), a soap-free cleanser to accompany both products.
What’s your current hand care regime? Have you tried any of these lovely products or know of any other great alternatives? Please feel free to leave me a comment below and don’t forget to follow The Beautiful Bluebird on bloglovin.
