Beauty | Birchbox – Cosy at Home

Birchbox and You Beauty Discovery box are my two favourite monthly treats. Birchbox always brings a smile to my face! I have been been receiving Birchbox for three months now, and every box has been filled with fun, high quality beauty, hair and lifestyle goodies. My faves so far have been the Meaningful Beauty Glowing Serum, Beautyblender, Benefit’s It’s Potent Eye Cream and Pixi by Petra Shea Butter Lip Balm. I’m not going to lie, there have been a few products that weren’t for me but apart from my sensitive skin’s reaction to the Shave Works Cool Fix shaving gel featured in October’s box, there have been no major upsets so far!

Every month comes with a different theme, November’s was ‘Cosy at Home’. My life revolves around wearing fluffy socks, drinking hot chocolate and lighting Yankee candles right now so I had high hopes for this month’s box! Boxes can slightly differ when it comes to products and shades but each customer is asked to complete a beauty profile before their first box is dispatched in order for customers to receive more suitable samples. So what did my Birchbox include this month…

As you can see from the photo on the right Molly really wasn’t that impressed… but I definitely was! This month I received two full-sized products – OPI Nail Polish in A Grape Affair! (worth £11.95) and a Dr. Jart+ V7 Cleansing Foam (£15). Already I’m thrilled to bits but lets see what other little samples I received: a Lord & Berry Mini Bronzer in Sienna which is perfect for achieving a beautiful healthy glow this Autumn, Beauty Protector Protect & Detangle Spray that also adds shine and ‘safeguards colour’, an English Laundry perfume sample and a sachet of Drinkwel veggie-friendly multivitamin capsules to help you recover after a big night out – handy to have for after the staff Christmas party this year!

I was most excited about my full sized bottle of OPI lacquer! I have been lusting over their nail varnishes for years but for some reason never got around to buying one. I love this colour – A Grape Affair! It’s part of the limited edition Coca Cola collection and is gorgeously pigmented and sophisticated. I really like the design of this polish too. The thick easy to hold top makes applying a dream and OPI’s exclusive ProWide brush ensures streak free application. This was definitely the boxes highlight in my opinion! I’ll update you soon on how I found my other goodies but for now I hope this little taster of November’s Birchbox has left you as impressed as I was!

Birchbox is a monthly subscription beauty box that can be cancelled at anytime. It retails for £10 per month plus £2.95 P&P. For more information visit Birchbox.co.uk or have a read of my previous reviews to have a closer look at my last 3 previous boxes by clicking here.
