I really can’t keep myself out of Superdrug right now, I guess that’s pretty obvious from my last three posts! The Vitamin E skin care range includes skin oil, makeup remover, radiance eye cream, ‘superbalm’ (that ‘softens and calms’ dry skin on hands, heels, elbows, lips and conditions nails and cuticles!) and day & night creams. All products claim to be rich in natural vitamin E, high in antioxidants and defend skin against environmental damage. Today i’ll be reviewing their Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser.
I have tried the cult classic Liz Earl Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser multiple times and was, unsurprising, really impressed! It truly is an amazing cleanser as proven by its huge following and countless beauty industry awards. Although it’s benefits are undeniable it’s price tag of £24.75 for 200ml is a little steep and this Superdrug alternative is an amazing dupe, retailing for only £4.99!
The rich and creamy formula sinks into skin almost like a serum, and when massaged into my face it felt really luxurious considering the price. After applying in circular movements to my face and neck I then rinsed the muslin cloth, which is included in the box, and used it to gently polish off the cleanser before splashing my face with cool water and patting it dry as directed.
The cleanser gently removed any signs of stubborn makeup leaving my skin feeling soft, radiant and pampered! It is aimed for those with ‘normal to dry skin’ but works very well on my combination skin as it’s surprising lightweight considering it’s thickness and creamy texture. When removed correctly with the cloth it also doesn’t leave any residue or buildup. Considering the price this really is a brilliant cleanser. It’s delicately scented, thick and hydrating, and definitely holds it’s own in a market of more luxe hot cloth cleansers.
