Pampering for a Pound (Part 2) – Argan Oil Hair Treatment

So it’s time for another Poundland beauty (click here to read about last weeks find), this time a hair product – the Argan Oil Hair Treatment with Moroccan Argan Oil extract. Argan Oil seems to be the ingredient of the moment in the beauty world, this plant oil is used in hair products, mascaras, hand creams and body oils as it naturally contains vitamin E and anti-oxidants. Big brands such as Lee Stafford, Crabtree & Evelyn, No7 and The Body Shop use Argan Oil in their best selling products due to its hydrating and nourishing properties.

This bargain intensive hair treatment promises to ‘repair and rejuvenate. leaving hair shiny, smooth and healthy‘, similar Argan Oil hair treatments are selling at Boots for £12.99. I applied 3 small drops of this heavenly scented oil to my towel dried hair and styled as usual. The oil didn’t feel or smell like a cheap product, it had a rich thick consistency although perhaps a little more oily and messy than your average hair serum, but remember this is an oil based treatment! After blow drying and straightening, my hair felt incredibly soft and glossy.

This product is great quality for only a pound! I’ve tried hair masks and treatments for nearly 10x the price that have left my hair unmanageable, greasy and left residue, this is a great addition to my hair care routine! Another Poundland win! I’m really chuffed with this little find. There is also a hair mask available from the same makers which I can’t wait to try! This is a lovely little stocking filler that I doubt anyone would guess sells for £1! Another example of how buying budget beauty products doesn’t mean you have to compromise on quality.

Can you recommend any low budget beauty products on the market I should try?

What do you think about pound shops – have you picked-up any bargains recently?

it always makes my day hearing from my lovely readers!
