So I’m finally getting around to reviewing the No 7 Exquisite Eyes Gift Box. I received the box as a free gift when I bought the No 7 Pop & Glow Cream Blush Stick and No 7 Moisture Drench Lipstick last month. The box included samples of No 7 Lovely Lashes Mascara in Black, Stay Perfect Metallic Eyes Pencil in Purple and Stay Perfect Eye Shadow in Forest Fruits Trio. No 7 are releasing their first ever ’25 Days of Beauty Treats’ advent calendar this Christmas full of goodies worth amazing £130! Apparently some big sellers are included such as their Perfect Intense Day Cream. Its’ safe to say I’m already on the waiting list! Its retailing for £35 and available from the 29th October – and it’s very limited edition! Anyway back to the gift set…
No 7 Lovely Lashes Mascara £12.95
This is No 7’s newest mascara. Beautifully packaged in a gorgeous purple tube It promises to give you “beautifully soft and glossy natural volume” whilst nourishing your lashes with Argan Oil. The wand is nothing spectacular, it’s gentle and soft when applying. It slightly separated, darkened and gave a very natural look to lashes. I personally prefer a more high volume false lash finish, this is a very subtle look, one I believe can be achieved with mascaras alot less expensive than Lovely Lashes. A nice mascara but nothing special i’m afraid; it didn’t lengthen, curl or add volume to my lashes, I was very underwhelmed with this product.
Stay Perfect Eyeshadow in Forest Fruits
I’m already a fan of Stay Perfect eyeshadows, I often treat myself to one with my Boots advantage points, Silver Shine is a favourite of mine. I liked this shade too, it’s like a smokey grey with a slight lilac shimmer. The Stay Perfect shadows are so effortless to blend and apply. They are very long lasting, they don’t fade or crease throughout the day and retain their high impact colour. No 7 Stay Perfect Eyeshadows retail at £7.
Stay Perfect Metallic Eyes Pencil
I’m usually such huge fan of No 7 although I’m afraid to say this is another product that I just wasn’t that impressed with! It claims its formula is ‘soft and creamy’ but I had to really drag this across my eye, catching the skin in the process to get any coverage at all. The colour looks substantial on my hand but this really didn’t translate on my eye at all. The eyeliner has sponge on one end but I don’t know why as this really isn’t a smudgable liner. The Stay Perfect Metallic Eyes Pencil retails for £6.50.
