MUA Blusher & Makeup Revolution Matte Lipstick

I’m reviewing two lovely products today – MUA (Make up Academy) Blusher in Bon Bon and Makeup Revolution Matte Lipstick in Divine. These maybe two of my new favourite low budget brands, both of these products are only £1 and are available from Superdrug.

The lipstick is one of 35 stunning shades and the collection contains nudes, brights, mattes and shimmers. I love Revolution’s eye pallets (see here for the ‘Smoked Romantic’ review) but this is the first time I’ve tried any of their lip products. I wanted a buildable lipstick one subtle enough for daytime wear but bold enough to stand out on nights out – this definitely lived up to my expectations! I bought the shade ‘Divine’ as I loved it’s pretty pink and slightly coral undertones (and my love for everything coral is no big secret – click for previous posts!). I found this lipstick easy to apply and surprisingly long lasting, although I did find it also a little drying. For £1 this lipstick is amazing value and I can’t wait to try their Amazing, Atomic, #happy and I love Make-up ranges!

Next up the MUA blusher, I’ll admit this product isn’t new to me I’ve been buying it for a few years now. The packaging and stand is a lot more sleeker and attractive now. This is one of my favourite blushers; it’s easy to blend, velvety soft, applies evenly and gives cheeks a beautiful glow! The only negative is that the powder can be a bit ‘crumbly’. Bon Bon is a lovely shade (I actually adore its name) because it gives a radiant glow which lasts for hours.

Sorry about the selfie, I really hate taking them! This was the least horrifying of the bunch as I managed to crop out my giant forehead but it’s a little hazy! As you can see the products work well together. The blusher gives a radiant glow and the lippy compliments its coral undertones. I’m really impressed with the quality of both theses products and I can’t wait to explore the other shades in these collections.

Have you tried any Make-up Revolution and MUA beauty products?

I’d love if you could share any recommendations.
