A few years ago I was treated to my first facial at a Bannatynes Spa. I chose the Elemis Fruit Active Glow facial (£49/1 hour) – it was heavenly! This is where I was first introduced to a far more luxurious world of skincare. I started to take my skincare routine way more seriously than I previously had. I immediately bought the Elemis Rehydrating Rosepetal Cleanser (£22), Soothing Apricot Toner (£22) and Maximum Moisture Day Cream (£38) all available from timetospa.co.uk. I bought them as part of a Christmas gift set and also used a promotional code which saved me a bundle, it’s definitely worth looking around before you invest in their full sized individual products as this can be a pricey way to go about it.
Rehydrating Rosepetal Cleanser (£22/200ml)
This was the first ever cleanser I bought, before then I was more than happy to just use a Simple face wipe – to be honest I still do if its been a long day, lets face it applying a whole skincare routine can be time consuming not to mention expensive, I love a face wipe – I am anything but a skin care snob! Anyway apparently this cleanser uses “active extracts of healing Rosepetal, Lecithin and Vitamins E and F to replenish moisture levels“. It’s milk like consistency is very gentle to skin and is beautifully scented. It helps to dehydrate and nourish my skin whist removing makeup and impurities. It leaves my skin feeling and looking radiant, a little of this cleanser goes a long way so it’s a great investment.
Soothing Apricot Toner (£22/200ml)
This toner is brilliant at soothing and refreshing your skin helping it to give you a fresh youthful complexion. I love the cooling effect it has on my eyes after a long stressful day. It claims to “help maintain the pH level, without the use of harsh detergents which can strip the skin’s natural oils”. It contains extracts of apricot, Quillaja Wood and Sweet Betty Flower – to be honest I’m not really a fan of its scent but it’s gentle and very effective in removing what remains of your makeup.
Maximum Moisture Day Cream (£38/50ml)
A luxurious but lightweight formula that claims to adjust to the skin’s individual needs. Well I have combination skin and it definitely suits mine! It hydrates dry areas like my forehead and under eye area and balances out oily areas such as my chin and nose area to help prevent breakouts. Again only a small amount of this miracle moisturiser is needed so this product will last you a long time.
I love Elemis’ Skincare range, their face masks, especially their Papaya Enzyme peel and Fruit Active Rejuvenating Mask with Strawberry and Kiwi fruit extracts, leave your skin feeling totally pampered – they’ll definitely be on my Christmas list this year along with a cheeky Bannatyne voucher for some relaxation before the madness of 2015 begins!
