Christmas Time at Lush – Butterbears & Snow Fairies

This weekend I finally managed to visit Lush and buy some Christmas goodies – I think I’m probably the last beauty blogger in the world to do a ‘Lush Christmas Haul’ post but here’s mine anyway! To be fair this isn’t really a shopping ‘haul’ I only bought three products; the Butterbear bath bomb, Snow Fairy shower gel and the Love Lettuce face mask. Each of these products came heavily recommended and it took all my will power not to splurge on a few other festive items such as their Snowman bath melt, Christmas penguin bath bomb and Santa Baby lip tint.

Lush is one of my favourite beauty and bath shops. Their lovely staff (especially at my favourite Edinburgh branch!), the stores passion towards cruelty free beauty and the gorgeous aromas as I enter the store all leave me weak at the knees. My all time favourite products are their Honey I Washed the Kids Soap (£3.40/100g), Cupcake Fresh Face Mask (£6.50/75g) and the Big Blue Bath Bomb (£3.35 each). I have yet to buy a product from Lush that I wasn’t completely satisfied with or didn’t love. Here’s a little look at some of this years festive favourites –

At the back we have the Honey Bee bath bomb (£3.35), in the middle is the reusable Magic Wand bubble bar (£5.25) and to the front we have the Golden Wonder Christmas bath bomb (£3.75).
These cute little ‘Butterbear’ bath bombs are only £1.95 each.
This adorable spice-scented Melting Snowman bath melt is £2.25.
And finally this Christmas Penguin bubble bar, which in my opinion is far to cute to actually crumble up in your bath tub, is £3.25.

There is always something to smell, touch, look at, poke at (their shower jellies are amazing), play with and giggle at in Lush and their staff are so friendly without being pushy and annoying like other stores *cough* The Body Shop *cough*. So let’s look at Butterbear and Snow Fairy as my skin needs a little break from face masks at the mo (see my three week Superdrug Face Mask Review post for more info!).

Snow Fairy Shower Gel (£3.75/100g, £7.50/250g or £11.95/500g)

So I’ve finally got round to trying this little Christmas bestseller. Snow Fairy is Lush’s limited edition bright pink, sparkly and ridiculously girly shower gel – apparently some people are already stocking up before it disappears until next year! I can definitely see why, it’s sweet bubblegum aroma smells absolutely delicious! It’s thick and concentrated so a little goes a long way. It builds up a quite a thick creamy lather and it’s shimmering formula doesn’t leave you covered in glitter. This very pretty shower gel also left my skin soft and smelling lovely all day! It’s a little more than I usually like to spend on shower gel but this is a lovely festive treat and a great little stocking filler for the Lush lover in the family.

Butterbear (£1.95 each)

This little guy is one of my favourite products in Lush right now! It’s a festive take on the cult classic ‘Butterball’ – an amazingly good value bath bomb that leaves skin silky smooth and pampered. The bath bomb is rich in cocoa butter which creates a creamy soft bath which nourishes and protects skin whilst filling your bathroom with a sweet musky vanilla fragrance. It one of the less expensive but most effective products Lush has to offer so it’s a great place for Lush newbies to start this Christmas. Cocoa butter, vanilla and a bath bomb all in the shape of a cute little teddy? – i’ll definitely be stocking up this Christmas!
